H.E. Kiir arrives in Windhoek to attend 25th Independence Anniversary of Namibia and Inauguration of Namibian President

President of the Republic H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit has arrived on Friday 20th March 2015 evening in Windhoek the capitalof Namibia to attend the 25th Independence Anniversary (Silver Jubilee) of Namibia, and the Inauguration of the President of the Republic of Namibia H.E Dr. Hage G, Geingob, which will take place on Saturday 21st March 2015.


Second Session of the Closed Door face-to-face talks in Addis Ababa Ended with Yesterday disagreements

The second session of the closed door face-to-face talks between President Salva Kiir Mayardit and the Rebels Leader Riek Machar ended yesterday in Addis Ababa, with disagreements on nine issues, declaration of permanent ceasefire, release of report of the Enquiry committee on Human rights, wealth sharing, settlement of debts, permanent constitution making process, dissolution of the current Assembly, power sharing establishment of NEC and National Council of Ministers.


Statement on the UN Security Council Sanction Resolution

The Resolution that was passed yesterday 3rd March 2015, regarding the Peace Process in South Sudan is unfortunate and the timing is inappropriate because the Peace Process is at critical stage.


Equatoria Position on IGAD Proposal

The proposed document presented by the IGAD Mediators that the Rebel Leader Riak Machar should come back to the Government as first Vice President of South Sudan and the current Vice President James Wani igga should step down for the Rebel leader, and President Kiir should share his powers with the rebel leader, has forced the Political Leaders of the three states of Greater Eqautoria to come out of their silence.
